Why:

Why I loved DJing this Event……

I was very impressed by Lucia, Emilie, Clarissa, and the Board of Cheer Dream.  They really are putting smiles on the faces of kids who have Scoliosis and helping the parents as well.  They go to hospitals and visit and give care packages to children who have the medical condition as well as support parents and families.  This particular fundraiser gave a $1000 Scholarship to dance school where one of the students has Scoliosis, as well as a $500 Scholarship to a student also with Scoliosis in a different school.  The Old Bridge School of Dance, the winners of the 2013 Scholarship performed various numbers for the guests, which was a lot of fun to watch.  The videos and pictures and families who were there really showed how important and helpful their foundation is.  I was pleased and touched to be a part of it, and look forward to working with them again.

Why:

Why I loved DJing this Wedding……

Jennifer and Omar were a lot of fun to work with, they were so excited about having good music and getting to dance and party with their friends and family.  From the first dance song to the last they were on the dance floor having the time of their lives… We had a great variety of music also, including Salsa, Merengue, Hip-Hop, Top 40, Commercial House, Crooners, and Disco…

My favorite moment had to be the last song “Can’t Hold Us” by Macklemore, when they were in the middle of a circle with all of their guests (there were a lot of guests at the end, and an after party at Aqua Bar right after) and they were dancing with everyone in the circle just loving it trying to dance with each and every person before the song was over…

            Mariott, Princeton, NJ

When:

Why:

Why I loved this DJing Reunion……

Reunions are always a fun time, and the Spotswood Class of 2003 did not disappoint.  Elizabeth B., who organized the reunion was a pleasure to work with, she had a good feel for what her classmates would like to hear and was excited to get them dancing and partying.  After Cocktail Hour was over the group started dancing and didn’t stop the whole night, we spanned the years musically from mid-late 90’s all the way to current radio and club hits.  We could have easily kept this party going way into the early hours…. Congratulations to Elizabeth and the entire Spotswood Class of 2003.

Who:

            Brooke & Chris

What:

            Cocktail Hour & Wedding Reception

Where:

Raven and the Peach, Fair Haven, NJ

When:

            Friday, November 9, 2012

Why:

Why I loved DJing this Event……

  • This was my first wedding after the storm (others had been postponed), so I was eager to help people have a good time and forget at least for a few hours about the issues everyone was having.
  • Brooke & Chris had to change venues due to flooding in their original Banquet Hall, but they were able to keep the date, notify all their guests, and make the Wedding a success.
  • All the guests were ready to have fun, and showed up ready to eat, drink, dance, and be merry.
  • As the pictures show, Brooke & Chris personalized the Banquet room, with pictures, plaques, and other great decorations to bring the room to life for their Wedding.
  • The dance floor stayed packed all night and everyone enjoyed themselves to the fullest.

The Calm Before The Storm…sort of…

It took a while for me to write these blogs since they happened the weekend before Sandy hit…. But it was such a fun weekend as far as Weddings go that I didn’t want to leave them out…

  • The Bridal Party was a lot of fun, ready to party, excited to be there, and dancing throughout the night.
  • Flanders Valley Country Club is a fun place to work, the staff is great and very accommodating.

  • Everyone was in such a great mood for the wedding, it was really a fun night.  People were eating, drinking, and dancing all night, which is exactly what I love about DJing….
  • I was able to work with a new Music Mixer from Elite,  Michael Gallo, who was a pleasure to work with.
  • The Channel Club is a great venue, amazing food, perfect location (10 minutes from my house) and right on the Marina… The staff there is great as well, I can’t wait to work there again.  They had some flooding during the storm, so I hope all is well soon.
  • Jen & Jeff’s music requests were all great.  Fun popular music in many different genres.  They wanted a fun atmosphere and lot’s of dancing which is what happened.
  • It was also Jennifer’s Birthday which made the day all the more fun.

  • Working for a Fund Raiser definitely has a feel good effect.  You know that you are helping others out and doing something positive for others.
  • The Falco’s who helped host this event are a great group to work with, I always enjoy performing at events for them.
  • This was my third year performing at this event, and every year gets better.
  • The guests here came to party as well as raise money.  They danced through out the night, and really enjoyed themselves.
  • I was able to work With Ryan, a new music mixer with Elite.  He was a lot of fun and will make a great addition to the Elite Staff.

Amber & Chad – Hunter Mountain, NY 9/15/12

Congratulations to Amber & Chad on getting married!  We had such a great time Djing their Ceremony, Reception, & After Party.  We also had the unique experience of Djing on the top of a Mountain (Hunter Mountain, NY).

The day kicked off with guests taking the ski-lift up to the top of Hunter mountain where we were treated to a beautiful view of the Catskills (At approximately 4,040 feet in elevation, it is the second-highest peak in the Catskill Mountains.)  I can say it was my 1st time having to ride a ski lift to get to DJ a Ceremony.  Amber & Chad also brought with them some sand from Long Branch, NJ where they 1st met on the beach. They spread the sand out at the spot of their vows so they could have a bit of their 1st date with them on their Wedding day.  They also incorporated the Love Letter and Wine Box Ceremony into their Wedding which was very special.

After the Ceremony the guests took the ski lift back down the mountain to the Coppertree Restaurant where we would have the Cocktail Hour followed by the Reception.  To help with an already fun wedding, we had a Photo Montage which played throughout the night as well as Intelligent lighting.  The Introductions, 1st dance, Parents dances, and toasts (great job Jaclyn!!) all added fun and some tears to the Wedding.  The guests danced the night away to new and old hits and since almost everyone was staying at the Lodge, no one left until the last song.

The night was not over though, a shuttle took the guests to the Lodge where we kicked off the After Party.  There was a Bar, Food, outside Fire Pit, Cigars, and of course Music.  We played new hits, Hip Hop, Pop, R&B, Rock, all fun drinking and party music until early in the Sunday A.M.

In all it was an amazing and unique event which was helped by a very fun Bridal Party and Bride & Groom.  A big shout out goes to Amber & Chad (Bride & Groom), Dennis & Lynn (Parents of the Bride), John & Bonnie (Parents of the Groom) and the entire Bridal Party: Jaclyn, Justina, Victoria, Jillian, Amanda, Danielle B., Danielle P., Kevin, Casey, Cory, Marc, Tim, Kevin, Devin, & Tom!

Going Away Party at Cheesequake First Aid

Oh What a Night we had for Steven’s going away party at the Cheesequake First Aid in Matawan.

Two things made this party amazing…

1)      It was for my younger (Somehow taller and smarter) brother Steven.

2)      I had the pleasure of DJing and Hosting (i.e. planning and paying for) this party

There was so many great things happening, but I will let the pictures speak for themselves…….
